For this episode of the Planet MicroCap Podcast, I spoke with Sid Grover, Founder and Managing Partner at Canterbury Lane Holdings. A recent guest on Planet MicroCap, when pitching Sid to be a guest on the show, said to me that he expects him to be the next Billionaire that started in the MicroCap ranks. After meeting Sid and our conversation you're about to hear, I can see why. I really enjoyed learning about Sid's approach to investing - taking a macro view of the world, and trying to express that thesis in equities. Simple concept in theory, but I learned quite a lot when trying to understand what that means and his way of answering those questions: what is going on the world economically and how do I leverage this information to make money.

For this episode of the Planet MicroCap Podcast, I spoke with Bill Powers, Host of the MiningStockEducation.com Podcast and Full time investor in resource stocks. He will be moderating a panel at the event called, “Expert Tips and Strategies for Profitably Investing in Junior Mining Stocks” with Gwen Preston and David Erfle. I was a guest on Bill's podcast recently, so we wanted to do a "home-and-home" to discuss his upcoming appearance in Vegas, as well as dig into the topic of investing in Junior Mining Stocks. As you know, I try and be judicious to all MicroCap investing strategies and specialities, from the more value approaches to growth-y stuff, to cannabis, crypto, mining and more revenue generating, Lynch-ian type businesses. Whether you like it or not, metals and mining makes up a huge (with a "Y") swath of the MicroCap space. With gold not far off its all time highs and macro pressures to increase domestic production for most metals, if you want to start educating yourself on how to play some tailwinds, my conversation with Bill is a great start, and his podcast is an excellent resource.

For this episode of the Planet MicroCap Podcast, I spoke with Manuel Mauricio, Founder and Editor of AllInStocks.com. We've talked at length on this podcast about investing is more an art than science, where sometimes, even a disciplined investor may slightly alter their criteria because there was something about an idea that caused them to dive deeper or ignore entirely. That's what Manuel and I try to unpack in today's episode, the concept of "Je Ne Sais Quoi", the inexplicable about a potential investment. And, since Manuel is based in Portugal, we closed out today's pod with how I can make my dream of moving to Portugal (at some point) happen.

My guest on the show today is Todd Cravens, CEO of Galaxy Gaming, Inc. (OTCQB: GLXZ). Galaxy Gaming, Inc. is a gaming company that designs, develops, acquires, assembles, markets, and licenses proprietary casino table games and associated technology, platforms, and systems for the gaming industry. The company’s proprietary table games comprise side bets, which are proprietary features and wagering options added to public domain games, such as poker, baccarat, pai gow poker, craps, and blackjack table games; and premium games, which are stand-alone games with their own unique set of rules and strategies. It offers side bets under the Lucky Ladies, 21+3, and Bonus Craps titles; and premium games under the Heads Up Hold ’em, High Card Flush, Cajun Stud, and Three Card Poker.
I think Galaxy Gaming has always stood out in my mind because at one of my first investor conferences, they had a blackjack table set up in the sponsor area. And, when I was getting my start on this MicroCap journey, I got to network and chat with fellow MicroCap investors over a couple games. I can't believe that was back in 2011, and the company has been through a lot since then. CEO, Todd Cravens and I, discuss quite a bit, including:
- Settling up corporate issues with Galaxy's former CEO
- Accelerating the business out of COVID
- Understanding Galaxy's business model
- Barrier to entry and moats around Galaxy Gaming
With that, please enjoy my conversation with Todd Cravens, CEO of Galaxy Gaming. For more information about Galaxy Gaming, please visit: https://www.galaxygaming.com/
